A little bit about Bob Spousta:
Bob Spousta has become one of the most prominent names in the US rowing community by racking up an impressive string of victories over the years. Twice a member of the US national team during the eighties, Bob also set a world record on the ergometer, has won the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta eight times in his single (including 1999 and 2000) and currently holds two course records there. Bob was named the Dad Vail Regatta "Coach of the Year" in 1998. Bob currently competes as a member of the Potomac Boat Club. Prior to George Mason, Bob coached at the University of Massachusetts, the University of Nebraska, and T.C. Williams High School.
About the Camp:
There are five sessions offered over a several week period and classes for beginners and intermediate level scullers. These camps are designed to be small in size to allow for one-on-one instruction. Campers will be using boats from the OBC fleet. These sessions meet from 9:45am-2pm.
Goal: To develop individual rowing skills and enable campers to become skilled in handling a single-including water maneuvers, launching and landing, navigation, and safety techniques. Campers will be taped daily to help develop a more efficient sculling stroke. Discussions will be held on how to develop a higher level of strength/fitness to improve individual 'boat moving' ability. Campers will be special OBC members during the camp week only.
Registration Information: Class times and dates MAY be adjusted before the event in order to maximize the amount of time the instructor can spend with each student. You will be contacted BEFORE the event should any changes be made to the schedule.
Please Note: All refund requests made more than seven days prior to the session will be provided minus a 25.00 dollar processing fee.
All refund requests made six days or less prior to the start of the session will only be refuned 50% of the registration fee.
